The union admits they were tricked

 The info is shared by the union on their Facebook page and Instagram although without much details except" illegally implementing drastic wage and benefits cuts on union workers". We are told to wait until March 17. Sorry to find that I was right from the start: you could not trust one bit this oligarchic entrenched board of directors. I hope you push now for the only realistic strategy: 

1. contest the legality of the August or September 2025 amendment of the bylaws that allowed the board to coopt 3 new members without having them confirmed by a vote of the membership.

2. Ask for the immediate resignation of the 3 september 2025  coopted  board members that have not been confirmed by a vote of the membership.

3. Ask for the resignation of the board members who illegally amended the bylaws to introduce the illegal cooptation of new board members without confirmation at the next annual assembly election.

4. Prepare a list of proposals to democratize REI and install a transition team to replace the oligarchic clique.
